Sermon Illustration Library

About This Site

What This Is All About

The Sermon Illustration Library is a community-driven library that organizes illustrations by a label system. Many times, a particular illustration is applicable to more than one topic. Not only that, but one person might think of an illustration as relating to one topic, while someone else might have an entirely different take on it.

Enter the label system. Every illustration is assigned to one or more labels. When you're looking for an illustration for a particular topic, simply find the appropriate label. Any registered user can add or delete labels. That way, every illustration can be categorized in the best possible manner.

In addition, users are encouraged to add illustrations and expand the library. And there's a restricted mode for copyrighted illustrations that you don't have permission to post. (Of course, users have to be able to access the illustration somehow. If you write your own illustration and don't post it somewhere on the Internet, you shouldn't use the restrict feature.)

Anyone may browse, search, and view illustrations. Registered users can add and remove labels on all illustrations. They can also add illustrations and edit illustrations that they submitted. Of course, registration is—and will remain—free.
