Elias was a Civil Engineering graduate.Spent few years in the Construction Industry from 1979 until 1984. Price inflation has affected many industries particularly Construction Industry and he was one of the many employees dislocated from job.
He joined politics in his hometown after the 1986 Edsa revolution.Appointed as Mun Councilor in 1987 until 1988.Ran as a candidate in 1988 and won until 1992.March 1992 strucked him with" heart attack" and became paralyzed on the left hemisphere.One night in his house after spending days in the hospital, He was led out to experience to meet God.Inside a hut, he knelt down and prayed fervently how the three young children go to school.He repented and confessed saying, "I am sorry Lord God of my sins since birth until today. Elias joined the candidacy to the ministry in 2007 at APTS in Ambuklao, Baguio City under the United Methodist Church.Graduated in Master of Divinity at Aldersgate Divinity School in Baguio City and Solano Nueva Viscaya in March 2011.
Physically impaired due to stroke, Elias is assigned presently at Resurrection United Methodist Church Umingan Pangasinan as Administrative Pastor at age 54 receiving starting salary of 800 php per month.
